Hi, I’m Dzung Bui — a robotics researcher currently seeking new opportunities in motion planning, decision-making, and autonomy, following a contract role at Bayro LLC (warehouse automation) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from George Mason University, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Greg Stein and Prof. Erion Plaku. My research focuses on motion planning and decision-making for multi-robot systems (MRS) operating in uncertain and unfamiliar environments under communication constraints.

My journey has always been shaped by a fascination with robotics and the ways machines can extend human potential. From my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, where I learned how to design and build robotic systems, to my master’s in mechatronics, where I explored control and embedded systems, each step strengthened my passion for creating intelligent machines. During my Ph.D., I focused on enabling robots to think, adapt, collaborate, and make decisions in complex real-world environments.

I believe robotics will continue to play an increasingly important role in society—from assisting humans in dangerous and high-risk tasks to improving quality of life in healthcare, transportation, and beyond. My goal is to contribute to this future by developing intelligent robotic systems that can operate reliably in challenging conditions. Driven by curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems, I look forward to continuing my research journey and building technologies that bring humans and robots closer together.
